Landream’s high-end project, Opera Residences, has been announced as a finalist in The Urban Developer Awards for Industry Excellence in 2022. The building has been shortlisted in the Development of the Year – High-Density Residential category.
Together with our development partner, Macorlink, this landmark project was born in 2016 with the acquisition of an unsurpassed site in Sydney’s most distinctive neighbourhood – Bennelong Point. Completed in December 2021, Tzannes Architects in collaboration with executive architects Crone Architects and interiors by Make, have created a building that speaks to Sydney.
The 1,207 sqm site features 102 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and two opulent penthouses across the 20-storey building. The 999 sqm (NLA) five retail lots include award-winning international restaurants and bars. All 104 apartments sold off-the-plan within two hours of their launch in 2016, with $550 million in sales recorded in a single day and six record-breaking sales.
The building was conceived as a fluid form in stone, concrete and glass, generating a continuous sequence of expressive elements from all four facades whilst simultaneously capturing breathtaking views of The Sydney Harbour and its surrounds. Internally, elegant simplicity is at the heart of the design with a rich palette of materials that allowed owners to personalise their own home.
Opera Residences is inspired by the idea to create homes that are not only valued today, but that are also valued in a hundred years’ time.
