How else would you sell a luxury apartment? The developers behind a swanky Brighton block have enlisted doughnut wonder kid Morgan Hipworth to create a custom treat designed to entice buyers – and the inspiration comes from an unlikely source.
Known for his mouth-watering, handmade artisan doughnuts, 18-year-old Morgan Hipworth has come up with a custom creation inspired by the prominent lush landscaping at the former home to high-end wedding venue the Brighton International.
The ‘Mint-to-be’ doughnut will be on sale at a pop-up shop at The International luxury apartment complex site over four days this month.
The Bistro Morgan pop-up will be Hipworth’s first in the Bayside area, following the success of his Chadstone pop-up and flagship Windsor store.
The Mint-to-be – a bright green doughnut, dripping in glossy white chocolate icing, sprinkled with an Aero crumble and topped off with a Nutella-filled syringe -will be exclusively available at The International on October 11-12 and 18-19.
Free coffee will also be on offer across all days of the pop-up stall.
Last week the Leader revealed the first images of the future five-storey 59- apartment complex, a joint venture by Landream and V-Leader.
The $100 million-plus luxury development will feature a wine cellar, multi-level basement carpark, communal lounge, corporate meeting rooms, private dining facilities and a rooftop entertaining area.
Bistro Morgan’s unique Mint-to-be doughnuts will be available – until sold out – at 81 Bay St from 2pm-6pm on Friday, October 11 and 18 and from 10.3oam-3pm on Saturday October 12 and 19.
