Apartment frenzy – $20 million rush on luxury complex

Buyers have splashed almost $20 million in just four days to secure a pad in Brighton’s $110 million luxury apartment complex development The International.

The first person through the doors of the display suite snapped up the most expensive penthouse priced at $4.7 million.

CBRE director of residential projects Victoria Henry Burbury said the penthouses, which feature private outdoor terraces with bay and city views, had been popular, with a second selling within days.

The display suite — Brighton’s most expensive at $1.5 million — gives buyers a fully immersive experience, with sensory touchpoints, interactive technology, opulent interiors and lush landscaping.

People who registered their interest were the first to snare the luxury abodes, with apartments on sale to the public early next year.

The complex has a rooftop entertaining area, wine room with secure individual storage, office, business meeting and conference facilities and a private dining room with back-of-house kitchen for catering.
